Our first funeral home opened in Gravesend  on 1st  December 2017 

We have modern, purpose built facilities to ensure the very best levels of client care as well as care of the person who has died.

We live in the communities in which we work and we  also believe in supporting our local community wherever we can . 

We participate in many charity events, volunteer and raise money for good causes.

Our second funeral home opened in August 2019, enabling us to care for and support families living in Dartford.

Completely independent (not part of any large funeral group) we ensure that your loved one remains close to home and we provide a totally personal service where your calls are answered only by us and not a call center. 

We launched this service late in 2019 to ensure that families requiring a cremation without ceremony can still deal with a local funeral director.

There are many online and national companies providing this service, but without any personal touch. You may not be  made aware where your loved one is held or where they are to be cremated.

 Experience tells us that regardless of the no fuss approach, families  still want to feel involved  and have their loved ones near.

Even if you chose a Sole Cremation, every family are welcome to use our funeral home and its facilities as well as feel supported by the Hergest & Cavell family.
