A Sole Cremation provides all the essential elements needed to proved a professional, dignified and sensitive unattended cremation service.

This price includes:-

• Local collection from home or hospital 24 hours, 7 days a week.
• Care at either our Dartford or Gravesend funeral homes 
• A suitable coffin for cremation
• Transport to the local crematorium 
• Funeral Director and adequate staff
• Collection of ashes and  one month  storage.

* Local means within 10 miles of our funeral home at Dartford or Gravesend.

There is some statutory documentation required for cremation. We will arrange for these documents to be completed and pay for them on your behalf. The BMA set these fees, currently £164. These fees are commonly known as 'Doctors Fees', however should HM Coroner issue the certificate for cremation, these charges will not apply. 

When a death occurs in one of the London Hospitals, additional time is needed for collection as well as additional mileage. Congestion Charges also apply and therefore we make a standard charge for all collection from London Hospitals to cover these necessary and unavoidable costs.

Should we need to travel in excess of 10 miles to collect your loved one (excluding London hospitals) we will need to charge an additional fee to cover the additional time needed and distance covered to bring your loved one home. Mileage fee is calculated (one way only) from DA12 to the destination and charged at £1.50 per mile. 

We all come in different shapes and sizes and therefore it may be necessary to order a coffin specifically to suit those outside of the standard manufacturers coffin sizes. Should this be the case for your loved one, the charge of £145 will be made to cover a  special order coffin including delivery, and additional staff needed on the day.

Within the charge of a Sole Cremation, we will collect your loved one's ashes and hold them at our funeral home for one month. This will allow you some time to decide on a final resting place.

Urns, scatter tubes and keepsakes can be purchased at an additional cost.

A Sole Cremation really is the simplest choice and priced accordingly, However, you may  have a special request or requirement that can be accommodated within this service. No charge will be made without first discussing your options and any costs that may be associated with your request.
